We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Director/Brewmaster at our new malting plant located in Lahti.
As a Supply Chain Director you lead the Lahti production site, plan, organize and optimize the day- to day operations to exceed customer´s expectations. You chair the local management team meetings and are responsible for P&L of that plant. Supply Chain Director ensures that the operation is in line with group strategy and policies and processes. You are responsible for leading and developing the local team, ensuring transparent communication, and providing clear sense of direction and focus to the team. You coordinate the operational matters related to supply chain at the site, co-operating closely with production, quality, sales and purchasing. As a Supply Chain Director, you will be taking a key role in building the future of the new malting plant. To run a production site operation, you need to be on site and remote work is only very rarely an alternative.
Key responsibilities and tasks
- Lead the production site, plan, organize and optimize the operations.
- Lead and develop the local team and chair the local management team meetings.
- Responsible for budgets and forecasts.
- Actively participate in the Group Supply Chain community, contribute to international Supply Chain and other Group projects as needed including CSR initiatives.
- Coordinates local employee wellbeing initiatives, trainings, performance management and recognition programs together with HR.
- Take responsibility of Property Management, EHS and Lean.
- Coordinates all relations with the local authorities, any audits or permit issues.
- Report to VP Supply Chain.
What skills and competencies do you need to succeed in this role?
- Brewmaster education.
- Experience in production is required, experience in sourcing and/or quality is a benefit.
- Demonstrated great leadership skills incorporated with fluent communication and interpersonal skills, good at organizing work.
- Sufficient understanding of the financial figures.
- Strategic thinking skills, interest in understanding the wider scope of the business and think long term.
- Ability to contribute in a matrix organization.
- Good collaboration skills with different functions on the site.
- Ambitious, persistent hands-on and can do -attitude.
- We also value international experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Finnish language skill is a very strong advantage.
